We're all impressed that you survived all the issues you faced - snow, rain, hail, cold, mountain trails, muddy roads, knee issues, no food, etc, etc and kept going for over 1000 miles!
The first words out of my mouth when I found out that you were coming home was that I was sorry for your sake that you couldn't complete the race, but very glad (!!!!!!!) for our sake that your coming home and back to work. We've missed you - reading about you and hearing your voice was not quite the same as having you here every day.
