Mary Collier Stocks Up in Grants

Racer Update about:

Hey its Mary. Its Wednesday, July 9th and I’m calling in from Grants, NM. Stephen Gleasner and I got here actually a few hours ago with a crazy headwind. This morning was awesome. We covered about 60 miles for the first 5 hours of the day and the other 60 miles took pretty much the rest of the day. We got here to Grants and its still pretty windy so we’ve actually been taking our time. Had some dinner here. Stocked up for the next couple of days after hearing stories of people of running out of food and food being sparse for the next couple of days. We are loaded on the heavy side. We got plenty of food here in Grants. We are headed out for round two tonight. You’ll hear from both of us the next couple of days. Until then, have a good one.

Almost there!

Mary,
Keep on keepin on!! You go girl! We are rooting you on everyday. I don't know what we are going to do when the race is over and our blue dot obsession ends. Have a blast and be safe. Glad to hear you have someone to hang with. Watch out for rattlers!
Love, Cindy and family

put the rain gear on

Been watching the blue dot progress of Mary with intensity and watching the local weather - Mary, get the rain gear out, they are having record rain and flooding in the direction you are heading. You are from NM, so you know what to do. Be safe and we'll keep watching intensly as you get through the next day or two to the finish!

Way to go Mary!

Hi Mary,
I tune in every day after work to check on your progress. I just can't imagine what it takes to pump so many hard miles day, after day, after day. I hope you've had a moment or two along the way to take in the joy of it all. You are amazing.

Take care,
Steve in Phoenix
