Thanks, This is the first race that I haven't finished in 17 years. I just don't know what to say. I promised my wife this was a one time deal, but now I have some demons in my soul that need a exorcism. You know what I mean.
Thanks again,
Matt Thourot
Great effort, Matt!
Sorry to hear about your knee Matt!
If it makes you feel any better, Chris promised me that last year was his one shot...Now look at him :) Don't let it eat at you too much, just enjoy a little extra time with your wife and see what you can do to come back in the future. Best of luck!

I road with Chris the first
I road with Chris the first two days and you would be proud! He has ridden that single speed up everything in his path. I just wish I could be with him to see the finish. He will get it done this year!
Thank You,
Matt Thourot
Great Job
Matt,
Great Job brother! I'm sure that the feelings are mixed right now for you, but in time you should be able to look back with great pride at what you were able to experience out there. I'm sure the scenery was unreal (I'm in the gulf coast of Texas and can only imagine). For those of us who are still dreaming you have lived the dream. I hope all is well with the knee and that you can convince the spousal unit to give you a yard pass so that you can give it another go. If that isn't the case I'm sure that it was a week of your life that will remain imprinted on your mind for the rest of your life.
