Heyyy there, this is Mathew Lee calling from Lima, Montana it’s Thursday morning about 4:50. I rolled in last night around 8:00, waited to call till this morning because it was awfully hard to say anything positive about these last 24 hours beginning with Lisa Ridge ending with Sheep Creek Divide. I’ve been pretty blasted with storms and hiking through this sage brush umm it’s been pretty hectic. But, we’ve gotta be happy for the farmers I guess. Anyway I’m heading out this morning into the Sentential valley which apparently was closed within the past five days due to flooding on the road. It’s now open again but uhh I happen to know there’s several impassible sections when it’s wet so I don’t know what to expect, we’ll see. Anyway big springs a bust okay take care!

A buddy I have been missing you, thinking about our journey last year. From the sound of your call it must have been a rough day. I don't remember a single negative vibe from you last year. I'm sure you are over it know.
I hope you are having a nice breakfast at Flag Ranch, I see you are in there eating now. I had a nice breakfast there last year, hopefully you don't procrastinate leaving like i did, I spent a lot of time there that morning. I imagine you opted for the Hot Springs and bivy instead of dropping a chunk of cash for a cabin. But it makes me smile that you had to think of me in that pricey room. After all I had to think of you sleeping soundly in that bivy all those nights, while I tossed and turned.
You're in my thought every day keep it positive and remember you can do it, under 17
