TF Replays Day 18, finishes!
Today's first TopoFusion replay focuses on the four leaders. Watch Matt Lee ride nonstop to the finish, through the night, and also turn around to retrieve his lost glasses sometime around midnight. Kurt also finishes and the tandem Petervary duo closes in. Chris Plesko is not far behind, but rests in Silver City for the last push to the Mexican Border.

It looks like they took the dirt route to Grants and were the only one of the leaders to do so. Impressive.
They didn't ride the dirt.
Jay and Tracey did not have their SPOT on between Cuba and Grant so it looks like they rode the dirt. In reality, all the "course cutting" people were complaining about earlier is what is going on.

It would be more impressive because dirt = slower and more climbing.
But they just missed some SPOT points and it appears they were on the dirt. Pretty sure they took the pavement.

It looks like Kurt left his SPOT on after finishing, got a ride north (thus the 48 mph), ran into the Tandem and then went back to the start to celebrate with them...

More than impressive any route they choose -- what a metaphor now, from their very ALIVE reality (that we in net of ethers have been blessed to experience vicariously with their call-ins these past weeks) for a couple on the long haul of life's rough roads. The Love Shack is now an outstanding icon -- they held together and kept a unitary effort all the way, in the lead, others may follow...
