Yep, this is Steve McGuire calling in from Butte. Spent the night last night up above Basin, lost. Must have been some other people, because there were tracks up where I was. Came down to Basin, ate breakfast this morning. Interesting climb out of Helena. I thought that most of the climbing was going to be done between Lincoln and Helena, but as it turned out, the last forty of the day was pretty significant. Otherwise, getting the bike--getting some brake pads put on and a chain that's doing quite well.  Physically, I feel good, now that I'm all warmed back up. I'm with Jeff and Ray. Take care.

Steve McGuire says; in Big Fork tonight going to sleep inside for 1st time trying to catch up on some sleep Got caught in storm last night on Whitefish Divide. Slept in an outhouse. IT was warm.   Going to try to average 100 miles a day to get through Montana. A pretty entertaining new route in Canada to say the least but that is over. I have been back and forth seeing Jeff Kirby. All in all the bikes holding up well. Physically, my legs feel great and I just need to get some sleep.
