Hey, this is Chris Plesko, calling in from Cuba.  Made it over The Bride this morning.  Headed up a little bit last night from Abiquiu.  That's a good section... just keeps coming at you, it takes longer than you think.  Anyway, getting ready to head out on the alternates and pay my dues as a single speeder.  And probably, unfortunately, leave Jay and Tracey because they are going to leave my spun-out-ass behind.  Yeah any other words for the morning?  Uhh, Rainbow gathering...wow... that was some very interesting stuff this morning.  So, yeah, that's all.  Next stop will be Grants.  I gotta get there.  So... later.

Hey Tour Divide racers, this is Chris Plesko from Del Norte.  What can I say?  More rain!  Got rained on last night and most of the afternoon yesterday and then again this morning coming into Del Norte.  Last night I had dinner in the bathroom at the Dome Lakes, and since it didn't stop raining, I decided I would just sleep there until it did.  So that's what I did until, I don't know, 2:30 or 3:00 this morning and then I boogied on into Del Norte.  The course is pretty good, it's definitely hard between Salida and Del Norte and there's a monster climb right out of here, but I'm going to load up on some food and get on with it and see where we get.  Umm, yeah, and oh and the double track primitive road into Del Norte is a lot of fun, so any of those Divide racers coming through... have a good time on that road!  You can even get some air here and there -- I'm not sure that's a good idea when you've been riding for seven hours at 10 am, but... it's fun anyway!  Alright, talk to you later, bye.

Hey everybody this is Chris Plesko, calling in from Sargents. Had a long morning in Saluda getting my bike into tip top shape. Got a new drive train and a new rear tire and some fresh bearings in a few places, after our mud fest in Montana. Hopefully this is all good to go and will get me to the end. Other than that, got over Marshall Pass, got hammered by storms for ignoring the Colorado rule of being over passes early. At least I am dried out a little now. Going to head on from Sargents. Next stop, is Dell Norte and then the edge of Colorado is getting dangerously close.  I can hardly believe it. Yeah, hope all the other racers are doing really good. Bye!

Hey Tour Dividers, this is Chris Plesko.  I am in Salida -- amazingly enough.  I left Kremmling this morning at, I don't know, 7:30 or so.  Got some good sleep last night, some extra food, and felt a lot better.  Busted it to Breckenridge in a push.  Got a pizza, got a little pizza to go and headed straight up for Salida.  Ran into Tracey and Jay to wish Jay a happy birthday.  And other than getting hammered on Boreas Pass by a storm, it was a pretty good day weather wise.  The winds were generally favorable and the head winds weren't too terrible and I made it to Salida in a decent hour.  So, gonna get some more sleep tonight, gonna get the bike freshed up for the final push in the morning and I'll be headed south.  Looking forward to getting these last thousand miles, or a little less, out of the way.  I hope everyone else out there is having a really good time and this section of the course is really beautiful so hopefully they'll enjoy it.  It's nice to be in my home state.  Alright, next stop is probably Del Norte.  Bye.
