This is Chris Plesko and Kurt Refsnider, just shy of 1 am.  We made it over Togwotee.  It is epic, but it is passable for all those coming on the way back, just be prepared to go slow.  Tomorrow:  Union.  Then down we go.  Alright.  Out.  Bye.

Gooooood evening everybody. Ten to eleven, its JayP and T-Race with the Love Shack. We are in Moran Junction presently. Had a nice ride today…was up at Leak’s Marina getting some pizza. Yeah, things were pretty smoothe…pretty motivating today to go through Idaho and into the big wonderful state of Wyoming, presently looking at a big sky filled with bright stars and a nice temperature. We are going to go for a bit longer since we are on road and, um, yeah, overall it was just a really really great day and thanks for everybody for being out and following us, and uh… T-Race, you got anything to say? (T-Race) Nope. (JayP) Ok, its almost nighttime and um, yeah, thanks, see ya. Bye.

Hi, this is Jill Homer, I'm calling from Lima, Montana.  Had a nice ride into town today.  I was actually pondering going a little bit beyond town but fought a 30 mph headwind coming off the pass and into town.  Looking out to the south just these nasty dark clouds which should be blowing toward the route, so I decided to stay in town.  I actually ran into Jeremy, who had the same idea it turns out.  We were both looking at that big dark cloud and thinking that we're a little bit smarter than that.  So we're in Lima.  John is also still with me.  He's planning on staying with me for a couple more days, and then he'll probably drop from the race.  But, still not sure about that.  I'm not even sure he's called in yet.  And it turns out his SPOT doesn't seem to be working.  But he's been traveling with me and we've been having lots of fun.  And looking forward to tomorrow.  Talk to you later.  Bye.

Rick calls from Lincoln

Hey, this is Rick calling in from the Tour Divide.  Notes from the back of the pack.  The four of us that were staying at the, actually five of us, that were staying at Seeley Lake left this morning.  Deanna and Brad were going to try to make it to Helena today.  Martin and Jeff and myself left later and we are here at Lincoln right now.  I did alright but my knee is still hurting it doesn't allow me to stand up and pedal any, so, on these climbs I'm constantly sitting on the seat, which, causes a problem with my butt.  But we'll see how much longer it'll take to get this knee squared away.  I don't know if I can last much longer with just pedaling up these passes with one good leg.  I havn't been able to stand up and pedal since the border when I first hurt my knee.  But we'll go ahead and plug along and see how it does.

So there is life on the Tour Divide! Finally after nearly five days (well I think it is five days) of riding I've rolled into Butte this eveningand bumped into Steve "on-fire" McQuire from Iowa. I think he's from Iowa not Idaho. No, that's where we're going tomorrow - Idaho. Iowa. And that's good news because when I got to the "Outdoors Man" - the famous live highways professional sports and bike shop here in Butte, I thought they'd gone through. I thought I'd missed some people by about an hour but there was no way you were going to get me out of Butte today after getting lost coming over from Helena; but no Steve's here and he's a tough guy because he's slept out rough and lost more sleep than I intend to do for the whole of the rest of the race. We've come to the conclusion that we both need to be tough, and a bit smart as well, so we're staying here tonight and hope to hit Lima in a couple of days time via Elk Court Hot Springs. A tough, tough route today - at least the first bit from Helena to Basin. Got lost up there; probably wasted about an hour but fortunately it was in the middle of the day and so at least I knew I had time on my side. The day before that though to Helena from Ovando was probably the most beautiful so far and the most enjoyable riding as well. So things going a bit better. Going to sleep well tonight and stick in some more long days. So that's it. Bye for now.

Cricket Returns to Butte for some sleep

Organizer's Note: Please note that moving forward along the route using any means aside from one's own pedal power is strictly forbidden by Tour Divide rules.

Hi everybody, it's Cricket Butler.  I'm in Butte, came back rode south of Butte yesterday afternoon when I got in and felt really bad and felt the best thing to do was to go back to Butte and get some sleep and rest and good food, and I did, and I feel much better.  It's about 6 o'clock and I am heading out and getting dropped off where I got picked up yesterday.  I just wanted to thank everyone for the emails and phone calls and text messages.  It's so cool to hear from everybody um some of them are making me laugh and some are making me cry, it's just really cool to hear from home and friends and family and people that I miss and people that I have met along the way . new friends and people that have been interested in the race.  I also wanted to thank the shop here, the Outdoorsman in Butte.  They have been fantastic.  Rick and Rob took care of my bike and they have been taking care of me.  They have went above and beyond everything they should have done and they rock, so just remember that!  That's it for now.  I am going to try and get some mileage in, hopefully my legs are feeling good and um I got a little bit of sleep, yea, and hopefully no bears today!

Jeff suggests The Outdoorsman in Butte…not the other guy

Hey, one other thing. I'd just like to advise any bikers out there that if you could avoid getting your bike wrenched at Great Divide in Helena, if you can hold off till, uh, Butte, I'd do it at Outdoorsman Cycles. Do that because they don't charge you a bullshit twenty dollar fee, and my shifting sucked before I went in there, and it sucks now, so Outdoorsman Cycle in Butte is definately a much better bet so I thought I'd throw that out there.

Hey it's Ray Porter calling in from Butte.  Stocking up on some supplies and heading out.  Feeling pretty good.  Weather has been decent, windy, but decent.  Other than that, heading on.

Hey Tour Dividers, this is Chris and Kurt at Flag Ranch, with the restaraunt closed between lunch and dinner, so, we're just making a quick stop and heading on.  The morning on the real trail was definitely a rude way to wake up but otherwise the views of the Tetons and Yellowstone on the way into Flag were great and... and we're going to head on from here.  Kurt says the mud last night was fun -- it was good mud instead of terrible mud.  So, that's all.  Alright, bye.
