Update on Racer Steve McGuire who will Join the Tour June 26th (hopefully)

Below is an e-mail update I received this afternoon. Steve will be considered an offiical TD racer and we will track him with SPOT when he starts. We are wishing him the best as he sorts out his life after flood ~

Hi Sherry,

This is Lynne. Steve's friend who is organizing the fundraising arm of his ride for Kidneeds. I talked with Steve and his wife this morning and they will be over this evening so we can be a bit more up to date. It looks like their house was lost. Currently they are staying with friends. Steve is still planning on riding the Tour leaving here on June 24th for Banff and I think shooting for a 26th start. He is trying to get everything settled so he can focus on the ride again. He said he was going to be riding for the first time in almost 12 days, today, checking for backroads to the airport-- we do not have an open road to the airport. He doesn't have computer access as the west side of town lost their cable service. They were hoping to find something today.
Thanks for following up. I know he is eager to get on the trail and leave floodwaters behind for a bit--as we all are!!
