Alan Goldsmith riding with his Biker Gang

Racer update about:

Hi this is Alan Goldsmith. Its 4 o'clock on Wednesday. I'm Butte with Dominik. We were with Kevin but he has just shot off. So we've been together for the last couple of days, with Kevin, and I've been pretty much with Dominik since the start. We had a monster day yesterday to get to Helena. Cause we suspected the passes might have snow on.. We got up at 5AM at Seeley Lake. Had breakfast in Ovando. Over Huckleberry which had a 10 meter patch of snow but you could go around and then that was all the snow we saw all day. So we go over the 3 big passes, no problem, but it took a while. We had to sit out a storm, but didn't really loose any time because we sat and ate. So late night into Helena which was really weird, turning up in a city after being where we have been. I think they should do the alternate. Forget Helena and Butte not much fun either, but we have been to the bike shop and been lubed up and now we are heading out towards Wise River, but I don't think we are going to make it all the way. I think we won't bother going over Fleecer. We are going to stop at the campground before that and do Fleecer in the morning. Yesterday's pace was a bit high. We are easing off a bit now. Anyway, I hope everyone made it over Richmond Peak Pass and I'll talk to you later. Bye.

Alan,Good to hear you are making excellent progress; all the folks back at SSSL wish you well and Dunc says he'll take up the challenge with you next year !!!!...only kidding.I see that Dominik seems to be your riding companion....if he's a footie fan (soccer for the folks across the pond), can you tell him that Germany are in the quarter final stage of the European Cup.When you get back, I think you should set up an exercise/biking regime for the fatties (like moi) in the Firm !!!.Good Luck/Bon Chance, Eain.
