Hi, Matthew Lee calling here from Grants, NM. Its 10 after 5, I think its Monday. I just pulled into town. I’m at the Grocery store resupplying. I forget what an interesting town Grants is. True Americana. Welding shops on every corner. Fireworks stands. Dilapidated buildings. Pretty depressed. But for some reason, I like it. Anyway, I had some really tough head winds coming into town. There are monsoonal type storms working their way north daily now, and they are causing trouble. I’m working through those. I was hoping to be in Pie Town tonight but that is still 70 miles away so I’ll probably be sleeping on the Pie Town road. Alright, Hope everyone else is doing well. Cheers. The Gila is Next!

Hey Matthew! Great going once again! Grants is a garden spot eh? I like the place too. The Uranium Cafe was the best place for breakfast...don't know if its still there or not.
Enjoy the Chain of Craters...love that part of New Mexico. Beautiful! The after that is the Gila! Time to get Gila Proven! Yeeehaw!

Mary's Homestate

Hey Matt, Welcome to New Mexico. You're going strong. Weather is tough but this week is the first time in about 3 weeks that the temperature isn't in the 100's.. We're in Alamogordo, NM southern NM but to the east of where you are coming through. Would like to meet all yall but gotta save our trip for when Mary gets there. Sorry.
