TD 'One of the World's Ten Toughest', says Bike

Those who've attempted to race the Divide know it to be the toughest multi-day racing out there (mostly b/c of its grand scale). In June's issue of Bike Magazine, Bring Out The Dread: The Ten Toughest MTB Races In The World, lists Tour Divide first in a review of the top ten toughest races on the planet. Check out the story in your latest edition of Bike or get the sneak peek here and here. In the same issue there's also an excellent story written by Watsonville, CA frame builder Rick Hunter (`07) about his experiences racing the Divide. It's a must read and a great existentialist perspective of life on the Divide.

The Rick Hunter piece was excellent. Thanks for sending us to that.

Cool press for TD too. Although testament to TD's difficulty comes informally from prologues to past GDRs, its hard to dispute that it mathematically displaces GDR as the longest MTB race out there. Finally there is a non-stop full-route field of racers to attest. Good luck to all the contenders in `08! Nice website.
