Hi this is John fettis, just calling in from Henry's Lake.

It's been a fairly straight forward day so far, no incident on route, and hope to get a few more miles in this afternoon, it's kind of a nice day for it but just battling against the winds a bit.

So bye for now. See ya.

Hi this is John, checking in from Bigfork, Montana.

No call in yesterday, we had a pretty long day riding from Elkford through to Eureka (crossing the border). Took a little bit of time with customs there.

Today has been a fairly easy day. Around 135 miles from Eureka to Bigfork. Not too much snow over the Red Meadow Lake, just about a mile of walking and climbing over a few trees. It was pretty hot around midday at White Fish, but we had a good lunch there in the Red Caboose.

Still riding with Alan, and all is going well. We still haven't had any bear encounters, although we did bump into the Petervary's up at Red Meadow, and they told us they had a scare yesterday.

Anyway, bye for now, John.

June 13th - Day 2

"Hi this is John Fettis, calling in from Sparwood, BC.

We had a nice leisurely start from Elkford this morning, we just had a huge breakfast and we're good to go into the flathead. I'm with Alan Goldsmith and Steve Wilkinson, and it's looking good - weather is fine.

Awesome day yesterday in the mountains. Saw the first ever bear shit on the trail! That's it for now, looking forward to getting to the border.

Bye for now!"
