Reuben Kline reunites with Matthew Lee in Rawlins

Racer update about:
Hi this is Reuben Kline calling in. It is Monday evening. Matt and I are in Colorado. I guess I should probably state what happened yesterday for the record and to let everybody know who is watching and who has been paying attention out there. I got into Rawlins at about 4 o’clock yesterday, maybe 4:30. For various reasons, I decided to wait for Matthew to catch up. Some of you understand that is what it was. Others are in the same boat as me trying to figure out why. I guess it has something to do with having companionship out there. It’s a long race. Getting tired of sleeping in a bivy sack in the cold. The desire to stay in the hotel Room and it was too early to stay in the hotel room without the catch happening. Film crew showing up at various times kind of motivated a little relaxation. They found me on the internet and looking at the map and they walked in and found me. But you know its nice having company today. Definitely tired like anyone would be at this point. A little bit of knee pain. A little bit of swelling in my Achilles that I’m concerned about. But you know, its all good. I’m satisfied with the decision to wait and reunite with Matt and ride together. I don’t think this is a record breaking year with the conditions. I’d rather ride with somebody rather than feel like I’m riding against somebody. Anyway. Hope you understand that. Keep on watch, checkin it out. Goodbye. (recorder time: 2008-06-23 23:04:47 EST.)

Rick,would love to cheer you

Rick, would love to cheer you on as you come through silverthorne. Is this possible?

Hang in there Buddy

Way to go, your kicking butt. Stop waiting for Matt and you might break some records. I saw that you were in Steamboat last night. I hope the passes you dealt with today weren'
t to bad on you. From Kremmling to Breckenridge won't be to bad. There's some hills around Green Mt. Resevoir when you're on the Highway headed toward Silverthorne. After that you should be able to kick in the gears and make some good time all the way to Breck. Wave hi to Tom as you pass the ranch. I'll let him know you're coming. I'd like to see you along the road somehow, but if it doesn't happen I'll ride tandem with you all the way to the finish line from my computer.... Love Ya Brother, dig deep from within. Tony

Rick, You are doing it!

Rick,
You are doing it! Stopped by Jen's and she informed me how you're doing, GREAT!!! I misunderstood your email last. sorry, would have posted sooner. Companionship is certainly okay, but you will ultimately be stronger on your own. 85% of anything physical is mental, keep that in mind. you will then realize that you are the best. my heart swells for your success, cuz!

Reuben, Just came back to

Reuben,
Just came back to this post. Wow! You're an awesome guy!
I cheering on Matthew because know him and because I was the guy who greeted him in Antelope Wells in 2005. I know Matthew is a tough rider from his past GDR rides, but what you did takes real heart.
Again...Iron Man!
