Hi  Blaine Nester calling in Friday evening, back in Silver City.  Made the border about 3:19 or 3:20 this afternoon on the 3rd of July.  Leighton White and I actually rode in together - couldn't shake the guy - he's tough as nails after what he's been through so we ended up crossing together.  Super guy - lots of integrity - we had a great ride.  On the way home ran into John, Allan, Joe, Steve and Cannon - great group of guys - had a lot of fun going back and forth with those guys over the race route - super bunch of guys.  They're going to finish tonight - hopefully see them tomorrow.  I know Eric had to call in sick from Pie Town - too bad - he's a strong rider - had a lot of fun with Eric over the days.  Sorry to hear that for him - I was hoping he would have finished because he would have finished strong.  Other than that, I'd like to say thanks to all the people along the way who helped us.  So many of them went out of their way to help us out when we needed food or whatnot - it was just super.  Thanks to all the people at home for their support - for following - and probably the biggest thanks to my wife for all the support.  So glad to be done - long ride - good to be done - let the butt heal - and maybe we'll call in with a follow up one day.

Hi Blaine Nester calling in here Thursday night I guess from Silver City.  Weather was good other than I got caught in a horrendous downpour from Mimbres over to Silver City.  Got in really late, got a nice room in a motel.  Hopefully get an early start and head south, make it to the border fairly early in the day.  Everything is going good, I'm trying to get tried out and the bike is working good.  So will call in when I am done.

Blaine Nester checking in from Pie Town.  A little bit late to hit the restaurant that was to be open til 4:30 turned out to be 3.  The nice lady from the Pioneer though, ran into her at the post office, she let me get some water and has a little bit of food she is going to feed me up here.  I'm going to keep heading south hopefully make Silver City tomorrow night and get ready for the last leg the next day.  So things are going well, little bit of a head wind today but yesterday was great, lots of pavement, crossed from Cuba to Grants.  Nice long day.  So hopefully a long one today, a couple more days, should be done.  Will call in at the end!

Hi. Blaine Nester calling in from Abiquiu - I believe that's how its pronounced.  Opted to spend the night here - gonna head over to Cuba tomorrow and beyond hopefully.  Heavy mud day - lots of hike a bike - stuff like that. Drive train is wearing out again - chain's jamming - derailler is jamming, bending - stuff like that.  Sounds like we're heading into a big rainbow gathering tomorrow and then maybe a few water problems further south but looking forward to finishing. I think the end is in sight.  Hopefully the bike and the body hold out.  Everything is going well so might check in at the end.

Hi. Blaine Nester calling in - can't remember the last time I checked in but calling in from Sargents.  Came over Marshall pass today - was pretty good weather - a few rainstorms and that but dodged most of them.  Can't remember the last time I phoned in but - (have) run into some great people again.  Birch Mountain Lodge back just outside the Colorado border - Kirsten was great and nice people at Pomo last night - its a new kind of a resurrected bed and breakfast - awesome people - very helpful. Had a few weak days - kind of got the legs back this afternoon and hopefully they stick around.  I see Leighton White is hot on our tail again.  He broke his rear derailler a few days ago, got it fixed and it looks like he'll catch us - looking forward to seeing him again.  So will check in next stop somewhere.  Things are going great - bikes holding up good - body's holding out so hopefully we'll make the end.

Hi.  Blaine Nester calling in - um - what day is it? - Wednesday, noon :) - Steamboat Springs.  Just in getting a little work done on my bike, having a bite to eat, getting some groceries, heading south.  Finally the rain has stopped - dry roads more or less and its beautiful - nice to be out of Wyoming. Looking forward to some more heat and dry roads. Sitting having lunch with a couple of crazy Brits right now - and will call in a few days - everything is going good.

Hi. Its Blaine Nester checking in from Pinedale - a big thunderstorm happening here.  Tough last couple of days over Union Pass and Togwotee - lots of mud.  Couldn't even push your bike - had to carry it if you could with all the mud on it - lots of snow but we made her through.  Looking forward to the basin - hopefully it will be dry in there - looking forward to some hot dry weather.  Had enough mud and rain for a few days now.  So, eh, everything is going good - going to try and make it into Steamboat - get some repairs done on the bike if it makes it that far - and carry on.

Hi. Blaine Nester calling in from Lima.  Rolled in here this evening.  Tough day - today was nice - no rain - no flats.  Yesterday was a tough day - some flats - some rain - some hail.  Everything is going good - a few minor repairs in Butte to the bike.  A big thanks to Rick and the staff at the Outdoorsman - they're awesome - really good customer service.  Body's holding out good so carrying on.  To all the folks at home - having a lot of fun and working on that beer belly - maybe it will be gone by the time I get home.  Will check in next time.

Hi  Blaine Nester calling in from Ovando - just having breakfast here.  Stayed at Seeley Lake last night and heading over towards Helena today.  A little snow over Richmon Peak yesterday and a big thank you to Kristen at Holland Lake Lodge - very accommodating - very nice guy.  Saw one nice grizzly this morning - other than that - going to be a nice day - everything's going good. So, uh, check in next time.
